About Us

Heywood started life as a renovated Victorian cotton mill. It took one year to bring the 100,000sq ft textile Spring mill back to life. A second storey was added, including a specially commissioned clock tower from the architect Michael Beaumont. Work remained faithful to the original building using reclaimed timber, original stone flagging and fireplaces from the Victorian era.

The Scartop shopping experience has room after room filled with classic quality hand-made furniture and accessories from around the world. All Scartop stores are a veritable labyrinth of nooks and crannies, alcoves and corners, all packed with a vast range of Traditional Pine, Oak, Ethnic and Globally Sourced Furniture and a massive cornucopia of gift and homeware to suit all occasions.
